In northeastern Pennsylvania, you’ll find a 5,600-acre fishing spot called Lake Wallenpaupack. Here you can catch a wide variety of fish, including bass, crappie, walleye, trout, stripers, perch, and sunfish. The fish here are both plentiful and of good quality. If you enjoy fishing from the banks, there’s plenty of accessible shoreline. And if you forget something, you can rent fishing gear at the Visitors Center. Located in the scenic Pocono Mountains, this lake offers a great place to boat, canoe, kayak, or pontoon. There are also several places around the lake that rent boats. In the winter months, you can ice fish in Lake Wallenpaupack for smallmouth bass, brown trout, bluegill, and yellow perch.
