Stafford Pond Fishing

If you dream of catching a trophy-sized fish, you’ll want to try fishing in Stafford Pond. This 480-acre lake is known as one of the best fisheries in Rhode Island. Here you can catch bluegill, bass, trout, crappie, perch, and pickerel. Located in the southeast part of the state, this small pond is a great place to bring a kayak or canoe. Motorized boats are also welcome here, although there’s a 10 horsepower limit on outbound motors. To access the pond, go to the southeastern shore located off Old Stafford Road.
