If you enjoy fishing for white perch, Lake Waccamaw is the place for you. This 8,900-acre lake is underfished, which makes for some great fishing. The fish here thrive on the ample vegetation and grow to be rather large. The most plentiful fish species here are perch, sunfish, bass, and catfish. The fishing is here is pretty simple. Since the water is clear, you can use virtually any type of bait. If you use crankbaits, spinners, and spinnerbaits, you may land yourself a bass, crappie, bluegill, white bass, or perch. Lake Waccamaw is the perfect spot to fish from smaller boats, like canoes, kayaks, and inflatables.
