Lake Phelps Fishing

Near the North Carolina coastline lies an amazing fishing spot called Lake Phelps. Located two miles south of Creswell, this 16,600-acre lake is known for its bass, crappie, and sunfish. Lake Phelps is pretty shallow, but you can still access it by boat. There are several boat launch ramps to help you get out on the water. There’s even a paved ramp for large boats. Just be careful of the shallow spots if you have a larger boat. There are also many spots around the lake where you can launch a canoe or kayak. Lake Phelps also has pretty great shore fishing thanks to the many submerged trees and ample vegetation along the banks.
