Alum Creek Lake Fishing

Alum Creek Lake is a 3,000-acre game-fishing destination with more than 68 miles of shoreline. Located north of Columbus, the main fishing targets here include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, and saugeye. The lake is also home to a healthy population of crappie, catfish, bluegill, and white bass. In the winter, ice fishing produces black crappie, white crappie, and bluegill. It can be difficult to fish from the shore due to the heavy forage surrounding the lake; therefore, its best to fish Alum Creek Lake by boat. There are six boat ramps around the lake to help you get out on the water. You can also fish by kayak or canoe. And when you aren’t fishing, you can enjoy the nearby stores, campgrounds, and restaurants.
