Lake Taneycomo Fishing

Located along the eastern border of Branson, Missouri, you’ll find an excellent fishing destination called Lake Taneycomo. This lake, which contains about 2,000 surface acres of water, is known for its amazing population of rainbow and brown trout. This fishery helps sustain a wide variety of species, including catfish, crappie, bass, sunfish, and walleye. Lake Taneycomo sits between two, larger lakes – Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Lake. In the upper section, you can only use flies and artificial lures. If you’d like to fish from the 40-plus miles of shoreline, make sure you check that the area you’ve chosen is on public land. It’s best to stick near the parks and boat ramps. For the highest chances of success, head out on the lake in a boat, kayak, or canoe. This will allow you better access to the best fishing locations. The lake also has several marinas for those who need to rent a boat or stock up on fishing gear.
