Located in the scenic Flint Hills area near Cottonwood Falls, you’ll find an excellent fishing spot called Chase State Fishing Lake. There’s a fairly good amount of channel catfish, black bass, saugeye, crappie, white bass, and bluegill here. The lake’s shores are moderately rocky, with some steep areas. This, along with the shallow mudflats, can make shore fishing here a challenge. However, you can still take advantage of this lake’s great fishing by venturing onto one of the eight piers or by using a boat, canoe, or kayak. The rocky and brushy conditions provide fertile conditions for ample fishing opportunities.
