Inside Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge in the southern corner of Illinois is a medium-sized fishing spot called Devil’s Kitchen Lake. You can find various fish species here, including bass, trout, perch, and sunfish. The lake’s scenic, peaceful environment makes this a serene place to fish. The conditions at Devil’s Kitchen Lake provide fertile ground for great fishing. Try your luck among the brush or near standing timber. Although you can fish from the shore, you’ll have better lake access and fishing options if you fish by boat. You can also fish from a handicap-accessible pier near the lake’s dam.
