Cherokee Lake is a great place to land a quality game fish. Here you can find bass, catfish, crappie, sunfish, sauger, warmouth, and walleye. The most sought-after fish here are the largemouth and smallmouth bass. Located in northeast Tennessee, this 30,000-acre lake offers 390 miles of fishable shoreline. The spring is the best time of year to fish from the shore. When the weather turns hotter or colder, the fish move to the deeper areas near ledges, channels, humps, and points that are more easily accessed by boat. Cherokee Lake has several marinas and boat docks to help you get your boat out on the water. All types of boats are welcome here, including pleasure boats, kayaks, canoes, and fishing boats.
