Shenandoah River Fishing

The Shenandoah River is one of the “Top Ten Best” rivers in the United States for smallmouth bass fishing. Of all the West Virginia rivers, the Shenandoah has the highest population of smallmouth. Experienced anglers who spend a full day of float-fishing can expect to catch about 30-60 smallmouth. Other species thrive here, such as largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, muskie, and channel catfish. The most commonly caught species in the Shenandoah River is smallmouth bass, which are available during the entire fishing season. Anglers use various artificial lures when pursuing smallmouth.
