Green Lake Fishing

One of Washington’s premier trout fishing destinations is Green Lake. Located right in the Seattle area, this lake is well-stocked with rainbow and brown trout, which are available year-round. Although channel catfish are kept stocked, anglers may need a bit more patience in pursuing them. Other species in the lake include common carp, largemouth and rock bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, and brown bullhead. Surrounding the entire lake is Green Lake Park, which is managed by Seattle Parks and Recreation. You can enjoy shore fishing along the banks or from the piers on the south, east, and northeast sides of the lake. Power motors are restricted; however, you can launch a canoe or kayak.
