Shelburne Bay Fishing

Located on the east side of Lake Champlain and south of Burlington, Vermont, Shelburne Bay offers access to great shoreline fishing. The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department maintains the Shelburne Bay Access Area with multiple points from which to cast a line, the best of which is the Bay Road bridge heading out to Shelburne Point. Depending on the season anglers will encounter different species: in late spring and early summer panfish, sunfish, northern pike, catfish, and large and smallmouth bass are abundant, while in early spring and late fall rainbow trout and lake trout are more common.
