Louisiana’s Red River is constantly changing but always worth fishing. The bass fishing in particular is excellent, and the Red River has been home to a number of national bass fishing tournaments, including two BASSMasters Classics held by the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. Besides bass, the river and its backwater lakes hold populations of catfish, walleye, and crappie.
