Caney Lake Fishing

Caney Lake has a modest size of 5,000 acres, but boasts the biggest largemouth bass in Louisiana. The five finger areas on the northeast side offer the best early-season fishing, but other productive areas of the lake include off the bank, along creek channels, off points, and humps. Along with its famous bass, Caney Lake has populations of catfish, sunfish, and crappie.
