Salt Creek Fishing

Anglers from all over are attracted to Salt Creek’s steaming waters, which provide great trout and salmon fishing. Salt Creek joins Lake Michigan, and during spawning season, the fish travel up the creek to spawn. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources keeps the creek stocked with steelhead trout, Chinook salmon, and coho salmon. Fly anglers come to catch skamania steelhead during spawning runs. The creek courses through two parks – Imagination Glen and Havel Hollow – where both anglers and the public can access the water.
