Featuring 2,800 acres of water surface, Salamonie Lake is a warm-water fishing haven. You’ll find big bass and catfish here, along with a plentiful supply of crappie, bluegill, and white bass. Although most anglers prefer to fish the lake from a boat, others find fishing from the shore is just as enjoyable. In the winter, the ice fishing at Salamonie Lake produces successful catches. Before you head out on your ice-fishing adventure, check with the local authorities or the Indiana DNR to ask about the lake’s regulations.
