Gibson County Lake is a 560-acre fishing destination that is regularly stocked with game fish. While the lake is best known for its amazing bass fishing, you can catch other fish here as well, including bluegill, channel catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, and redear sunfish. The bass here range from four to 10 pounds and are easily found using side-scan electronics. For the most effective fishing, look for schools of silver sides and shade, then cast your Carolina rig out, working your bait back through the fish as you reel it back in. Gibson County Lake has several amenities, including a courtesy pier, a fishing pier, a boat launch ramp, and a well-stocked bait shop.
