Little Black Creek Lake Fishing

About seven miles from West Hattiesburg in Lamar County, you’ll find a fishing destination called Little Black Creek Lake. This lake offers 650 acres of water surface, primed for fishing. There are several species of fish stocked in this lake annually, including catfish, white perch, bream (bluegill) and largemouth bass. Legend has it that Little Black Creek Lake contains the largest concentration of bluegill per mile of any Mississippi Lake. Most anglers come here to fish for bluegill from the shore, but you’ll find several fishermen trying their luck in kayaks. The fish here tend to be average sized, but very plentiful.
