Wisconsin River Fishing

Anglers come to the Wisconsin River system to fish the abundant trophy-size walleye and muskie known to thrive here. The waters are filled with large panfish, such as crappie, bluegill, northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, and sturgeon. A few hot spots to hit along the river include the area below the Prairie Du Sac Dam, Stevens Point, Eau Pleine and Lake Du Bay, Mosinee to Wausau, Lake Wausau and Wausau, Brokaw to Merrill, and Tomahawk wilderness to Rhinelander.
