One of southeast Wisconsin’s premier fishing spots is Lake Winnebago. The 1,622-acre lake is located at Fond Du, Lac and is well known for its walleye. There are numerous other fish species that thrive here, such as crappie, bass, perch, muskie, northern pike, bluegill, and monstrous sturgeon. The lake has 88 miles of shoreline, which you can access at the boat ramps, parks, and some surrounding roads. Twenty boat ramps provide water access for those who bring their boat, canoe, or kayak. Six marinas are available for boating services. In the winter, once the ice is safe, local anglers come to the lake to enjoy ice fishing. Whether you fish from the bank, boat, canoe, or kayak, you’ll find plenty of fishing opportunities at Lake Winnebago
