Plum Orchard Lake Fishing

Plum Orchard Lake is known among the fishing community for its big bluegill and largemouth bass. The lake is considered one of the better bluegill fishing spots in south-central West Virginia. Finding fish typically requires fishing from shore or boat. There are three boat ramps that allow easy access for watercraft. Anglers of all skill levels enjoy fishing during the day and at night. Advanced anglers land larger bass and bluegill while beginners enjoy casting from one of the numerous piers or along the shore at access points. The best bait to use is plastic worms while slowly bottom fishing. Another good choice is spinnerbaits. There’s a great day of fishing waiting for you here!
