Skagit River Fishing

Skagit River is teeming with a variety of game fish, such as rainbow trout (steelhead), bull trout, salmon, and Dolly Varden. Anglers can catch large rainbow trout that average 15-17 inches long, or huge trout that are more than 22 inches long. Bull trout average about 20-22 inches long and weigh up to four pounds. Daily catches of other fish species in the river can be as long as 23-24 inches and up to 10 pounds. One of the bigger species in the river is the Dolly Varden, which you can find in the small tributary waters. There are a few surrounding lakes near the river that produce various species of trout (cutthroat, rainbow, and bull trout). The area has a lot to offer in terms of both fishing and scenery.
