Hoh River is a salmon-fishing hotspot. The river is nestled in the center of the Olympic Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula. Here, you can fish year-round for steelhead and Chinook salmon. If you’re looking for steelhead, try fishing in the summer and winter. If you prefer to fish for salmon, head out during the summer and fall. Hoh River’s prized species is steelhead, which respond well to fly fishing during the winter as they make their upstream runs. Although their run begins in December, the prime time to fish for them is February and March.
