The walleye in Starvation Reservoir are some of the largest available, with multiple ten-plus-pounders recorded each year. It is also home to at least four major tournaments, including the Walleye Classic. Besides the famous walleye, Starvation Reservoir holds plenty of other gamefish: yellow perch, smallmouth bass, carp, chubs, and rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Additionally there is a growing population of Kokanee salmon thanks to experimental plantings in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
