Scofield has better shore fishing than Strawberry or Jordanelle, and bait fishing is good here throughout the heat of the summer. In many lakes high temps and warm waters drive fish to the cooler, deeper away from the banks. But this reservoir’s high altitude keeps even shallow bankside water cool enough for the fish to comfortably swim in through summer, keeping them accessible to anglers.
