Small reservoir located in Rich County due south of the town of Laketown. It’s about 15 feet at its deepest. Just follow 200 E out of town and continue on S MI Canyon Rd until the road ends. Laketown Reservoir will be on your right. The road is not well maintained so having 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter, spring or fall if it’s wet outside.
Lakeview Reservoir is stocked with Rainbow and Cutthroat trout, but mostly Rainbows. It’s usually stocked several times a year with Rainbows and occasionally with Cutthroats. You’ll also find hold-over trout from previous years stocking events. Last time we checked the daily catch limit was 2 fish.
Fishing you’ll find in Laketown Reservoir:
Trout here will take traditional lures including spinners, spoons and plugs. Powerbait will also generate bites and you can’t go wrong with a nice nightcrawler suspended under a float bobber.
Fun place to take the kids fishing if you’re in the area and offer some decent ice fishing during the colder months.
