Fish Lake Fishing

Fish Lake lives up to its name with its robust populations of lake trout, rainbow trout, and perch. The lake trout here can be up to 30 pounds, some of the largest in the Western United States; and the easy-to-catch hybrid of lake and brook trout called splake can reach up to 6 pounds. While fishing form the shore can be great if you find the right spot, fishing from boats tends to be more productive. The fish of Fish Lake often bite on lures being trolled either just below the surface or down deep in the depths; the lake trout in particular frequent the deepest waters and are best caught with a baited, weighted jig.
