Curlew Lake Fishing

If you’re looking for a wide variety of fish, head over to Curlew Lake in Meade County. This 126-acre lake is located about eight miles north of New Underwood. Here you’ll find many different types of game fish, including black crappie, walleye, largemouth bass, gizzard shad, smallmouth bass, bluegill, and yellow perch. Most of the lake is surrounded by trails, making for easy access to the shores. Just be aware that the trails can get muddy and slippery during wet weather. The vegetation around the shoreline is relatively sparse and doesn’t hamper access to the banks. Curlew Lake is the perfect location to enjoy a day of fishing from the shore or by boat.
