Little Pee Dee River Fishing

Little Pee Dee River is the perfect location for those who enjoy solitude – and enjoy fishing for large redbreast sunfish. This 116-mile river is a tributary of the larger Pee Dee River. Sunfish thrive here and can grow to be quite big. You can catch other fish here as well, including bluegill, redbreast, largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Little Pee Dee River ranges from 10 to 25 feet wide and six to 10 feet deep. Because most of its shores are covered with vegetation, it’s best to fish this river by boat, canoe, or kayak. Try fishing along the bottom for your best chance at catching one of the redbreasts. The best bait to use is some type of small, spinning lure.
