Carolina Trout Pond is known throughout Rhode Island as a popular trout-fishing destination. This pond is located just 1.7 miles from Hope Valley. At the beginning of each fishing season, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management stocks this pond with different species of trout, including golden trout – a natural variation of rainbow trout. To fish for trout here, you’re required to have a valid fishing license.
