For great steelhead fishing, head over to Nestucca River. Located in southern Tillamook County, this river allows you to fish for hatchery-raised steelhead almost all year. In the fall and spring, you can also fish for Chinook salmon and native cutthroat trout. The winter steelhead here can grow to more than 20 pounds, which makes the Nestucca River one of the best places on the north coast to catch these fish. The Chinook salmon here are also large with some weighing in at 50 pounds or more.
