Necanicum River Fishing

For great winter steelhead fishing, head over to Necanicum River. In the early winter months, you can catch hatchery steelhead. And later in the season, you’ll have more luck catching the wild fish. In addition to steelhead, the most popular fish here are cutthroat trout and Chinook salmon. Through March 31, the river is open to steelhead fishing at Necanicum Junction near the Highway 53 Bridge. To access the banks, go to Klootchie Creek Park and enter around Black’s Bridge. If you have a boat, you can launch it at the park. There’s also a takeout just south of Seaside along Highway 101.
