Lake Texoma Fishing

Lake Texoma is a 93,000-acre reservoir known for its exceptional bass fishing. Offering 1,250 miles of shoreline to explore, you’re sure to find a great spot to fish. The game fish here include three types of bass, three types of catfish, two types of crappie, several types of sunfish, three types of gar and striped bass. This large reservoir has a dozen marinas that can take care of many of your fishing needs. You’ll also find several boat ramps around the lake where you can launch anything from fishing boats to pleasure boats. There are plenty of public access areas around the lake that make it easy to fish from the banks or launch kayaks and canoes. Though the lake doesn’t offer much in the way of vegetation for the fish to hide, it has plenty of rocks, ledges, points creek channels and other places for fish to hang out. You’ll find most of your bass, crappie, and sunfish in these locations, whereas the catfish tend to stick to the river channels and creeks.
