Pymatuning Lake Fishing

Pymatuning Lake is the perfect place to plan a longer fishing trip. This 14,600-acre lake offers many amenities and more than 75 miles of shoreline to explore. Though less than half of the shoreline is actually in Ohio, there’s still plenty to enjoy if you want to stick to one state. You’ll find two marinas on the Ohio side, six boat ramps, several picnic areas, camping, bait, and tackle shops, and plenty of parking. Pymatuning Lake is stocked each year with walleye and muskie. Other fish you’ll find here include yellow perch, bluegill, crappie, catfish, sunfish, white bass, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass. Pymatuning State Park surrounds the lake, which allows for easy access to the shoreline. The lake is perfect for boat fishing and has a 20-horsepower motor limit. You can also try fishing from a canoe or kayak. And in the winter, once the ice is safe, you can go ice fishing for black crappie, white crappie, walleye, and bluegill.
