Red River Fishing

With more than 70 species of fish living in its waters, Red River is one of the top fishing locations in the country. Here you can find channel catfish that grow to more than 30 pounds, walleye that weigh in at 13 pounds, and Northern pike that grow to up to 45 inches long. These trophy-sized fish tend to hang out along the Canadian border. You can find other fish here as well, including smallmouth bass, sauger, sturgeon, muskellunge, carp, and freshwater drum. You can fish the lake from shore using one of the 34 public access points for fishing, or head out in a boat using one of 23 public boat access launch points.
