Shearon Harris Lake Fishing

While Shearon Harris Lake is largely overlooked, it is still a pretty impressive fishing spot. This 4,100-acre lake has an average depth of less than 20 feet and includes 140 miles of shoreline. Anglers who fish here are often rewarded with great catches. Here you can find plentiful amounts of bass, catfish, crappie, sunfish, white bass, and Northern pike. The most popular species here are the crappie and bass. The crappie are generally more than two pounds and the bass can grow to a massive 10+ pounds. Shearon Harris Lake is rich with nutrients and vegetation that help the fish population thrive. You can fish from the shore or use one of the public boat ramps to get your boat on the lake. Just be aware that this lake doesn’t offer many services for boating, camping, or fishing, so you’ll want to make sure you bring everything you need.
