Lake Chatuge is the perfect location to plan a bass fishing trip. Located in the southeast corner of the state, this 7,480-acre lake has amazing fishing and great amenities. Thanks to stumps, laydowns and rocky banks, the shore fishing here is quite good. You can also rent a boat, canoe, or kayak if you want to enjoy fishing on the water. The lake has many areas that attract fish, including ledges, boat docks and submerged humps. Some of the most sought-after fish here include bass, crappie, and sunfish. While part of Lake Chatuge is located in North Caroline, another portion lies in Georgia; therefore, regulations from both states apply.
