Hudson River Fishing

The waters of the Hudson River hold more than 200 species of fish, making it an excellent choice for a fishing trip. Here you can find white catfish, channel catfish, walleye, trout, perch, and brown bullhead. The walleye are especially plentiful in the Hudson River estuary just beyond the Troy Dam. In the Hamilton County section, you’ll find rainbow, brook, and brown trout. And if you’re looking for perch, the Hudson River is full of the white and yellow varieties, which you can catch from the 315 miles of shoreline. You can also drift fish down the Hudson if you prefer to get out on the water.
