Delaware River Fishing

Considered one of the best fishing rivers in the Northeast, the Delaware River is a great place to catch sport fish. The river’s most popular fish are bass, walleye, and trout. For the best wild trout fishing east of the Rockies, head to the upper portion of the river, which is also considered the East Coast’s best fly fishing location. Fishermen flock here for the wild brown trout that can grow longer than 20 inches – though the average length is 15 inches. Head to the Delaware River in the summer and you’ll have a good chance of catching some bass. And if you visit in the late fall/early winter, head to the deeper pools where you can land yourself some walleye.
