Union Lake Fishing

Union Lake is considered one of the best bass fishing lakes in south-central New Jersey. This 900-acre lake also holds plenty of crappie, sunfish, catfish, perch, and pickerel. Union Lake gets up to 27 feet deep in some areas and offers 10 miles of shoreline from which to fish. The most popular fish here are largemouth bass and black crappie. In the Union Lake Wildlife Management Area, you’ll find the Union Lake boat ramp where you can launch boats. Union Lake only allows boats with up to 10 horsepower motors – this helps maintain the lake’s excellent fishing. If you don’t have a boat, you can enjoy shore fishing near the main boat launch. You can also fish from a canoe or kayak. There are plenty of great spots to fish at Union Lake no matter which method you choose.
