Carnegie Lake Fishing

In Mercer County, you’ll find an excellent fishery known as Carnegie Lake. This 244-acre lake is home to largemouth bass, carp, pickerel, crappie, and channel catfish. On occasion, a lucky fisherman will pull a rainbow trout brown trout from Carnegie Lake. Known for its plentiful population of crappie, this lake is great for both shore and boat fishing. Since the best fishing spots aren’t accessible from the shore, many people rent canoes and kayaks at the lake and head out on the water. Before you head out, make sure you pick up a New Jersey fishing license – they are required to fish here.
