Merrimack River Fishing

If you’re looking for endless fishing opportunities, plan a trip to the Merrimack River. Located in south-central New Hampshire, this river is home to many native fish species. You can find many fish here that migrate from the sea to spawn, such as striped bass. Those who enjoy sport fishing can catch bass, perch, pickerel, salmon, sunfish, and catfish. On occasion, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department stocks the Merrimack River watershed in Bristol and Franklin with hundreds of two- to three-year old Atlantic Salmon. For an excellent fishing experience, hit up one of the prime fishing spots, such as Arms Park, Amoskeag Bridge, Moore’s Falls Conservation Area, Taylor Falls Bridge, Greely Park and near any of the bridges along Route 111.
