Hampton Harbor Fishing

To experience excellent saltwater fishing, head over to Hampton Harbor. The waters in this Atlantic Ocean inlet are home to striped bass, winter flounder, summer flounder, bluefish, Atlantic mackerel, and a lot of other species of game fish. Fishermen mostly come here looking to catch striped bass, which are most active in the early morning and evening. If you want to catch schoolies, try fly fishing from the beach. Those looking for the larger fish should aim for the bottom and use cut clams or chunk mackerel. If you want to catch the Atlantic mackerel, you’ll have the best chances using a multihook Sabiki rig or diamond jig. The most effective methods are drifting while chumming with ground bunker or chasing after the schools that swim near the surface.
