Christine Lake is another great fishing lake located in Coos County, just 5.6 miles from Groveton. This 197-acre cold-water trout fishery is home to smallmouth bass, brown trout, bream/bluegill, and brook trout. You’ll find a few smallmouth bass here as well. They were added to the lake recently by someone who illegally introduced them. Christine Lake has many public access points and is motor-boat friendly, though you’ll be limited to a maximum of 10 HP. Because of this restriction, you’ll find may people fishing the lake from canoes and kayaks. You’ll also find plenty of people fishing from the shore.
