As you can imagine, the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean offers diverse fishing opportunities. Bring your saltwater gear and cast your line out from a bridge, jetty, boat, or the beach. If you get tired of fishing in the ocean, you can try your luck in one of the many adjacent rivers and bays. While most people like to target the striped bass that swim near the New Hampshire coast, those willing to go out a bit further can catch bluefish, flounder, salmon, bass, herring, shark, mackerel, and many other species of fish. Just be aware that you’ll be required to have a recreational saltwater license.
