Jarbidge River Fishing

In northern Nevada, you’ll find a popular, 17-mile-long fishing spot called the Jarbidge River. The fishing in this popular river is best from July (after spring run-off) through October. You can find several trout species here, including native bull trout, redband trout and mountain whitefish. This river is home to one of the six bull trout populations that has been identified for recovery and are listed under the Endangered Species Act. Most people come here to fly fish, especially with dry flies. If you decide to spend the night, you can find several Forest Service campgrounds near the town of Jarbidge.
