For some of the best fishing in the country, head over to Lake of the Ozarks. Bassmaster Magazine regularly lists this lake on its list of 100 Best Bass Lakes. This 43,000-acre lake is home to several national crappie tournaments. Here, you’ll find more than 1,100 miles of shoreline to explore. Lake of the Ozarks has several different “arms,” all of which offer their own diverse structures and water clarity. You can catch many different fish here, including bass, catfish, walleye, crappie, and sunfish. There are many other fish here are well, although not in the same quality or quantity of those mentioned. The shore here is easy to access, which makes shore fishing especially popular. People also enjoy boat fishing here from bass boats, pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes.
