For a wide variety of fishing options, head to Tombigbee National Forest where you’ll find Choctaw Lake. This 100-acre lake allows fishing seasonally, with the potential to catch carp, crappie, largemouth bass, bream/bluegill, catfish, and perch. You can fish from the shore or bring your watercraft and launch it from one of the two boat ramps. A nearby campground also offers access to the lake for shore fishing. Regardless of whether you enjoy fly fishing, spinning or baitcasting, you’ll have a good chance of catching something.
