Calling Panther Lake Fishing

If you’re looking for a fishing destination that is stocked with great fish, look no further than Calling Panther Lake. Best known for its trophy-sized largemouth bass, this lake is also stocked with crappie, bream, bluegill, redear sunfish, and catfish. You can find bass in the shallow water where they like to look for food. To catch them, try using lipless crankbaits or soft plastic swimbaits. You’ll find even more bass out in the deeper water. For these deeper-swimming fish, try using blue or orange jigs – or maybe even golden shiners. The bluegill tend to hang out near structures in shallow water. They respond well to crickets and small redworms. And if you’re after catfish, fish the bottom of the creek next to the nature trail with commercial stink baits or liver.
