Snelling Lake Fishing

In the heart of the Twin Cities, you’ll find a popular fishing location known as Snelling Lake. Here you can pull in various species, such as black crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, and northern pike. Snelling Lake contains a public pier, which is a great spot to reel in yellow perch and bluegill. The other species can be found by fishing along the bank or by wading into the lake itself. With most of the shoreline consisting of greenery and brush, people sometimes wade into the shallow water, casting as they move along the shore. If this doesn’t appeal to you, bring your canoe or kayak and head out onto the lake to get to the best fishing spots.
